A Ukrainian marriage is a breathtakingly wonderful meeting that is jam-packed with dance and music. It can last many days with many songs, celebrations, and various ceremonies. It is typically held on a Saturday ( though quite religious ceremonies can be done on Sunday ).

Just before the church service starts, one of the most significant ceremonies takes place. The bride and groom meet their separate communities at the residence of the couple’s kids during this event, known as the Blahoslovenya. Around, the parents of the bride and groom formally consent to their kids getting married. On their special morning, the groom even gets to meet the wedding here for the first day!

It’s pretty a sight when there are frequently 10 or more godparent newlyweds per couple! These are also the same people who did look out for them and wish them the best in their union.
